Principio attivo (Active Ingredient) is a performance that emerges from the indistinct: a performer rises from the audience as an ordinary body, carrying with them the expectation of an encounter between language and vulnerability. On stage, a plural stream of consciousness unfolds, composed of voices that alternate within an inner dialogue.
The theme of sexually transmitted diseases is addressed not through clinical data, but through the weight of words—spoken, withheld, or missing—that can wound or heal. The performance explores language as an antidote to stigma and silence, revealing a body that moves through fear, listening, shame, and the possibility of connection.
The device-boxes handed to spectators—small symbolic medicines filled with words—serve as a reminder that the first form of care begins in the gaze and in the voice. Principio attivo (Active Ingredient) thus becomes an exercise in shared responsibility: an invitation to recognize that what we say has the power to transform, and what we leave unsaid can become illness.

Principio attivo è una performance che nasce nell’indistinto: un performer emerge dal pubblico come un corpo qualunque, portando con sé l’attesa di un incontro tra parola e vulnerabilità. Sul palcoscenico, si apre un flusso di coscienza plurale, fatto di voci che si alternano in un dialogo interiore. Il tema delle malattie a trasmissione sessuale viene affrontato non attraverso il dato clinico, ma attraverso il peso delle parole—quelle dette, taciute, mancate—che possono ferire o curare. La performance esplora il linguaggio come antidoto allo stigma e al silenzio, mostrando un corpo che attraversa paura, ascolto, vergogna e possibilità di relazione. Le scatole-dispositivo consegnate agli spettatori, piccoli farmaci simbolici colmi di parole, ricordano che la prima cura nasce nello sguardo e nella voce. Principio attivo diventa così un esercizio di responsabilità condivisa: un invito a riconoscere che ciò che si dice trasforma, e ciò che si tace può diventare malattia.
