“Our first million” is a symbolic container that collects all the unsold tickets during the 365 days when stadiums, museums, and theaters were closed due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. Just like in many gathering spaces around the world, at the Benito Stirpe Stadium, the emptiness became the only, sad protagonist. This emptiness, made up of missed laughter, unshared hugs, uncelebrated victories, unspoken thoughts, and silenced applause, is at the heart of the artwork. Each unsold ticket represents a story not lived, a moment lost.
The artwork is not only a testimony of this silence but also a warning not to forget. It is dedicated to all that essential, often invisible, fabric that makes an art exhibition, a live show, or our favorite team’s match possible. “Our first million” invites reflection on the fragility of the places that unite us and the importance of those who work behind the scenes to make them come to life.
The artistic project “Resilienza d’Artista”, carried out at Stadio Benito Stirpe and promoted by Frosinone Calcio, also had a charitable purpose: part of the proceeds was donated to the Heal Foundation, which supports scientific research on pediatric oncological diseases.
“Our first million” è un contenitore simbolico che raccoglie tutti i biglietti invenduti durante i 365 giorni in cui stadi, musei e teatri sono rimasti chiusi a causa della pandemia globale di Covid-19. Come in molti spazi di aggregazione in tutto il mondo, anche nello stadio Benito Stirpe il vuoto è stato l’unico, triste protagonista. Questo vuoto, fatto di risate mancate, abbracci non dati, vittorie non festeggiate, pensieri non condivisi e applausi taciuti, è al centro dell’opera. Ogni biglietto invenduto rappresenta una storia non vissuta, un momento perduto.
L’opera non è solo una testimonianza di questo silenzio, ma anche un monito a non dimenticare. È dedicata a tutto quel tessuto produttivo, spesso invisibile ma essenziale, che rende possibili una mostra d’arte, uno spettacolo dal vivo o la partita della nostra squadra del cuore. “Our first million” invita a riflettere sulla fragilità dei luoghi che ci uniscono e sull’importanza di chi lavora dietro le quinte per farli vivere.
Il progetto artistico “Resilienza d’Artista”, realizzato presso lo Stadio Benito Stirpe e promosso dal Frosinone Calcio, ha avuto anche una finalità solidale: una parte dei proventi è stata destinata alla Fondazione Heal, impegnata nel sostegno alla ricerca scientifica sulle patologie oncologiche pediatriche.
