In a time increasingly shaped by compulsive consumerism — particularly in the realm of appearance — identity often becomes a performance, a constant attempt to resemble someone else or something different. The work reflects on the urgency of removing the mask that conceals our deeper nature and rediscovering the universe that lies beneath the surface: the condition of being.

Being becomes something precious — as valuable as gold — the force that protects our uniqueness and allows us to write our own story.

Humanitå – This Is Not a Selfie invites viewers to reflect on the tension between being and having, the sublime and the ordinary, the real and the imaginary, and the contradictions that have defined humanity throughout the centuries.

Viviamo in una generazione sempre più intrappolata nel consumismo compulsivo — soprattutto sul piano estetico — dove l’identità diventa spesso una performance e una continua corsa a diventare qualcun altro o qualcos’altro. L’opera riflette sull’urgenza di rimuovere la maschera che nasconde la nostra natura più profonda e di riscoprire l’universo che si cela sotto la superficie: la dimensione dell’essere.

L’essere, in questo senso, diventa qualcosa di prezioso — raro quanto l’oro — la forza che custodisce la nostra unicità e ci permette di scrivere la nostra storia.
